Hotard & Associates has a proven record of success when completing Senior Leadership searches. Although each search is unique, a systematic approach is always followed to assure the best possible outcome.
- Understanding the Client's Needs - An initial meeting is arranged to ensure a thorough understanding of the client's organization, style, structure, strengths, culture and other intangibles required to successfully recruit at the Executive level. A detailed description of the position and the ideal candidate is developed during this initial meeting.
- Preparing the Engagement Letter, Position Description and Recruiting Specifications - An Engagement Letter is prepared for the client's review and approval. A detailed position description and a set of specifications for the candidate's experience and education will accompany the Engagement Letter. The Position Description and Recruiting Specifications are always agreed upon with the client before the search for potential candidates begins.
- Candidate Identification - Through personal contacts, networking and research, a discreet search is conducted to identify a slate of quality candidates.
- Screening and Evaluation of Candidates - The strongest candidates are then screened and evaluated through in-depth, in-person interviews. Initial reference checks are also completed at this time.
- Candidate Presentation - A detailed report on each candidate - including business experience, education and personal information - is prepared and presented to the client. A confidential evaluation of the candidate's strengths and weaknesses will be included.
- Thorough Reference Checks - Once the final candidate is selected, he or she is then thoroughly reference-checked by Hotard & Associates, focusing on areas of specific client interest.
- Negotiations and Closure - Hotard & Associates will work with the client and the candidate to negotiate a compensation package agreeable to both parties.
